Solar Chemferts Private Limited is a leading world-class manufacturer of chemicals with exports across more than 15 countries. With the headquarters in Mumbai and three factories across India, the company has been growing by serving several industries such as Agriculture, Leather, Rubber and tire and Steel and Explosives.

Our core activities include manufacturing, processing and exporting a multitude of chemical products such as Sulfur powder, Sulfur roll, Agricultural Sulfur Dust (85%), Sulfur (80%) WDG, Sulfur (90%) and Basic Chrome Sulfate.

Our Mission

Our History.

Started in 1972 as a proprietary business out of Kanpur (India), Solar Chemicals was founded by Late Mr. Prem Manohar who was an already established businessman in chemical manufacturing for more than 25 years. He was also nominated to upper house (Rajya Sabha) of the Indian Parliament in 1968 and continued to serve the nation in politics through 1980.

In 1977, his son, Mr. Paresh Kant Manglik, joined the business to handle day-to-day operations and expand the Sulfur powder business. In 1995, the company renamed to Solar Chemferts Pvt. Ltd. to further its chemical manufacturing business. In 2017, Solar Chemferts is expected to generate over 1 billion rupees (14M USD) in annual sales.

    Solar Chemicals opened for business in Sulfur roll

  • 1977

    Added Sulfur powder business unit

  • 1982

    Sulfur powder capacity increased to 4000 ton per year

  • 1989

    Added Basic Chrome Sulfate business unit (3000 tons per year)

  • 1995

    Solar Chemferts incorporated

  • 1996

    Sulfur powder capacity increased to 10000 tons per year

  • 2002

    Sulfur powder capacity is doubled to 25000 tons per year

  • 2005

    ISO certification

  • 2009

    Started Sulfur WDG manufacturing at 7000 tons per year

  • 2010

    Recognized as Export House from Govt. Of India

  • 2012

    New state-of-the-art facility commissioned at Ambernath (Thane)

  • 2015

    Basic Chrome Sulfate capacity quadrupled to 12000 tons per year

  • 2017

    Expected to triple capacity of Sulfur WDG

  • 2018

    US EPA registration initiated
